New People’s Choice “Elite” award introduced
And 2018 winners announced
To mark the 5-year milestone for People’s Choice Awards winners, a new ‘Elite” award emblem has been created. Bearing a blue Winner’s banner and a red “5 Years or More” designation, the Elite emblem complements the existing emblem, and will be awarded to merchants, service providers and businesses and that have been named winners for five years or more.
Imagen, developers of BestofLakeChapala.com and sponsors for the annual People’s Choice Awards launched the online contest in 2014. The 2018 poll created ten winners who qualify for the new Elite emblem. Those ten People’s Choice Elite Winners are:

2) Clinica Maskaras – Best Medical Facility, Best Emergency Services
3) Tony’s Carniceria – Best Meat Market
4) Mia’s – Best Clothing Boutique
5) Balneario San Juan Cosalá – Best Family Activity
6) La Taverna del Quattro Mori – Best Italian Restaurant
7) Bruno Restaurant – Best Barbecue
8) El Tio Sam – Best Appliance Outlet
9) Four Aspects Erin Dixon – Best Alternative Care
10) Casa Tres Leones – Best B&B
All winners are authorized to display the People’s Choice Digital Award Emblem in print or online publicity, and also entitled to an Award Certificate suitable for framing. The 5-year Elite winners are authorized to use the new Elite emblem. Additionally, they will receive a special certificate for framing and display.
